Dream Log, Entry 2: October 19, 2021

I had a dream about a month ago, where I was floating around the ceiling of what I'm assuming was a hair studio (no idea why!).

I could see haircutter-type chairs facing the wall, but I was not at an angle to see the mirrors/reflections. Just one woman was working with a client (I did not see either of them clearly), and I had just floated past (above) them.

The woman casually said to the client, "Oh, he's got the 22 chakras. Don't worry about him."

When I woke up the following day, I immediately went online and searched because the dream seemed significant. I was amazed to find that there are 22 chakras and had never heard of that before or read it anywhere. I read about the higher chakras that went beyond the standard of 7, but it didn't really help explain what the dream was intended to convey.

I did notice that shamanism deals with at least some of them, which made me think back to a much older coworker I had when I was about 20 and entrenched in my philosophy studies. He invited me to go with him to the shamanic class he had been taking for several weeks and said he thought I'd enjoy it.

It was basically an intense session where the invitees, including me, were sat in one portion of the room, while the class members sat at a long table on the other side, eyes shut and in complete silence. None of us understood what was going on or what to expect.

Finally, the shamanic elder teacher asked the students to open their eyes and approach what they saw while in their meditative state. Essentially, they envisioned who they were supposed to "read," and each member got up and went directly to their spiritual match.

Without going into detail, two students approached me and were able to see things about my life. One of them was highly accurate and able to describe my childhood home to me in great detail. At the time, it made me a little uncomfortable because I thought I would just be watching the class and not be put in such a position of vulnerability.

During that time, the elder walked around to each pairing or group and listened in to provide guidance. When he approached me, he stared intensely at me as though he was reaching into my soul. He had not done this with the others, and it made me extremely nervous.

He turned to the intensely accurate student, and he said, "How is he to read for you?"

The student replied, "He's a bit challenging, but once you can tap into him, he's like an open book."

Again...uncomfortable.

The elder said, "Have you noticed the light?"

The student said, "Yes, I saw it right away."

Then, the elder said to me, "You have very powerful energy and a bright indigo tower of light that reaches from your crown and into the heavens. This is something I have rarely seen."

He walked away. And, my reading continued with the students. The session ended, and my coworker and I drove back home.

I still remember that experience to this day, have felt some sort of draw to shamanism for many years, and with the discovery of the 22 chakras, I have not been able to stop thinking about the dream and what the elder's cryptic message meant.
